What makes hotonline different from other job boards?

hotonline is the UK's largest network of specialist job sites. We're different from other job boards because our network of specialist job sites allows recruitment consultants to target specific candidate markets, while reaching the largest volume of online jobseekers in the UK.

Which sectors do you specialise in?

Whilst we advertise positions across all industries, our core sectors are IT/Technology, Engineering, Retail, Hospitality, Travel & Leisure, Sales/Marketing, Office/Admin and Finance/Accountancy.

What types of agencies advertise with hotonline?

We advertise positions for any size agency; from small agencies who have a small number of positions to fill through to large multi-sector agencies who are recruiting for more than 1000 jobs per year.

How much does the service cost?

This is very much dependent on the type of package you sign-up for but packages start from £50 a week. For an exact cost please contact our sales team on 0845 468 0568.

Is hotonline part of a larger Group?

hotonline is part of the online division of the hotgroup, a technology-led recruitment company founded in 1999. Its sister company is workthing.com, the leading UK job site to advertise jobs exclusively for employers direct. the hotgroup is part of Trinity Mirror plc, the UK's largest newspaper publisher.

If I sign-up with hotonline will my jobs also be posted on to workthing.com?

Yes, all key stats on the site are ABC audited.

Do you offer training on how to use the service?

Our Customer Services team offer additional support over the phone on how to post jobs, search for CVs and use any additional features your account offers. However, your account contains extensive online help and you'll also be able to download a very comprehensive training manual as soon as you login. Customer Service will also provide you with guidelines on how to get the best possible results from your account.

Will you help me write my recruitment advertisement?

We cannot write your advertisement for you, however Customer Service will offer assistance on how to best write a good recruitment advertisement, and give you some tips on how to target relevant candidates.

Will the internet provide me with quality candidates?

Yes, the internet is now the preferred media of choice for jobseekers when it comes to searching for work. 15m people in the UK now use the internet to search for work and this will increase by 30% in 2007.

Can you guarantee a response rate?

As with any job advertisement, we cannot guarantee what sort of response you'll get but there are a variety of methods you can take you ensure your job advertisement stands out in the crowd! Customer Service will work with you to make sure you get the best response for your job advertisement.

How soon will I get a response?

Your job can be seen by candidates as soon as you post it online, which means you can receive applications immediately.

What happens if I'm getting too many responses to my vacancy?

hotsift is our clever filter system which automatically highlights quality candidates and saves you sifting through hundreds of CVs. It works like this: you choose up to 10 questions that will test the applicants' suitability for the role, including knowledge and skills. Candidates can only continue if they meet the criteria you have set. It's an excellent, time saving device.

How are my responses handled?

You can choose to receive applications by email, or via your own website using a redirect from one of our sites or a redirect to your own downloadable application forms.
Once the candidate clicks on apply, they simply fill in their email address, attach a CV and cover note and their response will be emailed direct to your inbox. Their application will also be stored in your account under "manage responses" for 30 days so that if you ever have any problems with your email, your recruitment campaign won't be affected.

If I sign-up how quickly will my account go live?

Your account will go live on the day we receive your signed activation form. If your signed activation form is received after 4:30pm, your account will be ready for you to use the next working day.

What happens after I return my signed activation form to you?

You will be emailed login details for your hotaccount and contacted by Customer Service who will work with you and help you to get the maximum response from your recruitment campaign. They will also provide training on request.

Do you offer a job posting service?

We do not offer a job posting service, however, your hotaccount is very simple to use and allows you to post your vacancy yourself and make any changes as often as you need to. You'll also be sent a very comprehensive training manual and Customer Service will provide assistance on how to get the optimum response from your jobs.

What are your payment terms?

We will invoice you directly and payment terms are 14 days from the date of invoice unless otherwise stated.

What are your office opening hours?

We're open from 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
